I've grown quite tired of deviantART and what tends to be "featured" there. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with nudes in art, as long as it's art - the nude isn't the entire piece, but a piece of the piece.
I feel most of the nudes (photographed nudes that is) on dA tend to be more porn based.
Comments such as "nice picture (nice tits)", "nice butt", "I want to lick ice cream off her stomach" show more attention to the naked woman (it's almost always a woman) and the sexual feelings caused rather than the piece as a whole.
There have been closeup photos of an ass that are featured-where is the art? Am I blind? Breasts are usually the focal point of the piece, making the nude the piece. Some work has been photographed to be placed on suicidegirls.com

No, erotic behavior isn't featured. But the poses and focus of the piece are intended to cause "sexual excitement." Yes, it can be argued that anything can cause "sexual excitement" depending on the person- but look at the work, look at the focal point, look at the posing, look at the reactions.
Call it a pet peeve that has been grinding at my nerves. But I appreciate CA, because the nudes I have seen here are more art based, rather than porn.
