Hi,

I would like to conduct a survey if I could. It is to guage general reaction to a new method of drawing that I plan to teach. Art education involves a variety of techniques and styles to broaden skills. The new method that I propose involves a mixture of drawing with both hands and drawing with one hand. Over several years I have developed techniques that make this easier than it sounds. Its advantages are that it improves the ability to draw objects in proportion, helps in recognising shapes and forms, and is quick to perform. Here are some questions I'd like to ask (students and ex-students):

1. What is your first impression of such a drawing method?
2. Do you think that it would be a useful addition to art education?
3. If it was offered as a one-off workshop by an outside tutor at your institution, what would be a reasonable fee to charge participants?
4. If it was not available in college, but advertised locally as an adult education art class (over several weeks) would you be interested in taking such a class?
5. What normally leeds you to take an art class/workshop or buy an art book?
6. If this drawing method does not interest you, can you say why?
