Actually, these never really work out. We all have bias towards our own school, and many don't have direct experiences across multiple schools to make precise and balanced comparisons. Rank number six and seven may not have anything that makes one definitively superior to the other, but people bicker nonetheless. The relative placement of rank number two and 22 is however, agreed unanimously.
Ranking of similarly good schools is an inexact and arguably, pointless science. More useful to the prospective art student I think, is the broad categorizing of schools. Into for example, tiers one, two three and four
But based on what criteria? Since this forum is after all centered around concept art with special regards to the entertainment industry, so to should this categorization. To simplify, cost/financial aid and student life should be non-factors.
