i thought it might be a good idea to list wanted features for the next version of Painter. i use Painter IX and think it's a good program, but also think there's room for improvement.

here's my wanted list (i'm not sure any of these are in the IX.5 patch.)

-Artist's Oils able to change brush shape so they're not just square-shaped
-rotation to be less pixelated
-more controls for scripting (like choosing playback speed)
-like ArtRage, the option to quickly hide windows off-screen and appear on-screen again for a less cluttered workspace
-a set of pixel brushes (other than the 1-pixel)
-layers to simply 'merge' like in Photoshop
-easier/faster zooming like in Photoshop
-option to hide tools in the toolbox

feel free to make your own list, or to correct me if any of these are already in IX.
