Successful candidates must demonstrate strong traditional drawing skills. We're looking for generalists so experience is necessary; expertise is not essential. THIS IS A FULL-TIME, ON-SITE IN IRVINE, CA POSTION Job Requirements: • Experience with 3D Studio Max or Maya • Create 2D assets using Photoshop and Flash • Design appealing characters, props & levels/environments • Create clean low poly models and layout efficient UV's • Paint convincing texture maps • Setup custom rigs for characters and creatures • Animate characters & creatures • Light scenes to communicate effectively mood and setting • Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment Pluses: • Experience with Illustrator or Flash a plus • Experience with Mel/Max scripting, Director experience, or Particles & Dynamics are pluses • Abnormal sense of humor and penchant for esoteric jokes always a bonus Portfolio: • Samples of 3D and 2D game art such as characters, environments, props, textures, or animation • Traditional Samples (portfolios without traditional samples will not be considered) including sketches, figure drawing, paintings, or sculpture • Breakdown sheet for any collaborative work Please submit samples via website, DVD or CD.
