I am trying to get a small short together for the fun of it and to put on a demo reel. Any work that is done will be put in the credits and soon i will have a website so your website can be linked to that and will also be on the credits. I wish i could pay but i am mostly in school and its hard working enough to pay bills and then pay for something like this. I hope if there is a good relationship possibly if there are future projects then i will be able to pay for those but for now im sorry. Here is the idea I have i know its kinda iffy and not much too it yet i know it needs work but here is what i have.
I am starting a short firm it will be the size of a small demo reel or trailer. It will be 2-3 mins long. If we have more free time maybe longer. Right now the plan is just this but i would definitely be open to maybe doing more than one. Possibly if it does well enough maybe even a game mod. Here is my idea so far.
The basic idea i have and im not sure if it copies any games or not if it does i plan on trying to change it so here it goes. A game cinematic to a fake game. I was thinking a mix with sci fi and fantasy i fig it could help push myself and hopefully other people. So far as for characters maybe some robot race and maybe some sort of superhumans, elves goblins, wizards all the usually fantasy type with hopefully new and unigue designs. If this was a game I was thinking along the lines of a rts game of some sort. Maybe this could end up being a game i dont know. The video would show some sort of battle scene maybe near a castle or some kind of fort. You would then have maybe each race or maybe the good and bad or fantasy and sci-fi fighting each other. The premise of this pretend game could be something like the sci-fi characters land on the planet to find this super weapon and the fantasy characters may be the protectors of this weapon and either have them all on one side or maybe they were all battling for this weapon.
Thats all i got now. As i said this is just a idea that popped into my head today in my head it seems like it would be cool. Would definitely welcome some input on maybe some directions to go in and also people who would want to be a part of this. So far there seems to be me and someone else and we need people in all the different parts. As for what the people will be getting out of this other than some type of recognition for the work i am not sure at this point I would not appose possibly some money. Me and this other guy have just got it started and we are in the process of figuring more stuff out. This will be my idea but i would like it to be our project if that makes sense. I want to start of with this and use it as a basis. I hope to get some input and possibly people who would like to join this. If there is anything that could be done to make this a project you would like to be a part of please let me know
