I was hoping somebody here may be able to help fill me in on a question I have been wondering for quite a while now: Why is there such a lack of jobs for remote artists in regards to freelance jobs? Even Massive Black have made remarks that with the popularity of the Internet there shouldn't be such an emphasis on limiting artists to specific locales, yet every job posting (including those from MB themselves!) seem to always require you to be situated somewhere, usually the U.S.

Now, I understand this requirement when it comes to full-time jobs, as most people want to work in an office building with one another for feedack, reviews, discussions, etc. but shouldn't the world of freelance be a little more open to on-line communication?
