Well this is a story of a apprentice (me) not tasting my sauce and well you will get the picture..

I am in charge of setting up the kitchen, writing the prep list and pick up list( the resturant is a man made island and the prep kitchen is in the main hotel kitchen) Yesterday I came in like any other morning... doing my set up noticed there was no DEMI or BBQ but plenty of shank sauce... so i poured the shank sauce in a pot added red wine and put it on. we use it to braise our veal shank and make a couple of our pan sauces... Later on in the day when the sou-chef gets there right before i go home. I found out the prep team all left without making my demi or BBQ, so he told me to make a pepercorn and mushroom demi with the shank sauce after he added chicken stock and a couple things to it... any way i started the sauces and left... Came in the next day and was in some serious crap... It turns out the "shank sauce" was the BBQ! and they figured out after i left when every one smelled burnt sugar...
