Hi, I have a question that I thought someone on here may be able to help me with. I have heard about chefs going oversees and doing something they call work study. I graduated from a Classic French Culinary School and have worked in American style resorts and lodges since then. But my love is Itailian Food. I would love to go to Italy for a year or so and do a work study at either one restaurant or several in order to learn more about Itailian Cuisine. I checked around the internet and I could not find anything mentioned anywhere about a supposed work study program in Italy or anywhere else except the USA. I have heard that getting an Italian work visa is pretty difficult and it was my understanding that Work Studies were supposed to be easier to get but I can't find anything about what kind of visa I would need. Does anyone know anything about work studies?

Any help would be appreciated.
