I seem to always get shafted when it comes to anything "intullectual". If I don't understand something for a book (like A Clockwork Orange...apparently there is more to it than just the theme of parts of society trying to control people for their own benefit) or a movie (like Brazil, when I asked my friend why certain things didn't add up she responded with a "nevermind") I usually never get it explained me and are dubbed stupid. "If you didn't get it the first time then I'm not going to explain it to you", "It can't really be explained, you just have to get it" (whatever the fuck that means), "No, you're wrong...you know what, you didn't get it so nevermind", and the all-time classic, "Nevermind". And the more determined I am to pry the information out of them the more determined they are to never tell me. I think its some kind of sick satisfaction some people get, it makes them feel higher than you. I'm just so sick of this because I get it on a regular basis. I felt I needed to get it out and ask other people why people have to be so crappy? Why does one have to constantly get shafted and never feel like they've accomplished anything with people? Its a broad question but maybe its something we can all whine about. What are forums for? Because apparently, you're not smart until you can quote stupid Shakeshpere (I did like a Midsummer's Night Dream, don't get me wrong) and play chess and understand vauge concepts only you understand.
