Hello everybody!

Finally, got the courage to register and start posting.
Been browsing here for a long time, amazing artists, amazing inspiration, hope to contribute as much as possible.

Well, I'm a graphic designer / Animator , but always had the passion for drawing. After two intense years as a gd, I decided to put alot of effort into my drawing skills, which always will be my first and biggest love.

And now for the question. I got a great anatomic book.
I've been drawing and trying to learn from it for over a year now. Problem is, I can draw an exact copy of it by looking at it, but I don't feel as if my drawing abillities are getting better doing it. I mean, if I'll try drawing the same part alone, it'll turn up pretty bad. The book has many informational texts in it, only problem it's in spanish.

I feel really stuck at the same point, and it is rather depressing.
Not giving up Though.

Any thoughts or sulotions?

If you want to draw from imagination start with simple forms and shape...

Don't just stick with one approach.
