To help you guys out, I want to give you this link to a page of AICAD (American Independent Colleges of Art & Design): http://www.aicad.org/applying.htm

It is further direction in how to go about looking at art schools. AICAD is a common organization for all the schools, so it won't lean to one or another. The idea is to equip you with the tools to make the best decision for yourself.

If you would like something more extensive, or something that explains all of this for your parents (and why it pays to be an artist), I can email you something that does that (too big to post in here). No, I don't capture or copy your name, or try to "recruit" you. Call it summer, and we have less to do, and I don't mind. The piece, like the AICAD piece, explains how to find a college, but with more research and parent-oriented explanations. If you want just a brief synopsis, I would definitely recommend the AICAD piece.

Also, you all may really enjoy looking up articles by a guy named Dan Pink. Dan's book, A Whole New Mind, was called best business book of 2005. He was interviewed by HOW Magazine about being a Graphic Designer. Very good. Here's the link:

Check out his "Revenge of the Right Brain" in Wired:

If you want to receive that, but with a more artistic angle, I can email that to you. Again, I won't copy, capture, add to a mailing list, or do anything with your info, other than reply with the articles requested. You can do much of this research online, and it is extremely valuable. If you don't want to spend all that time, but I would definitely encourage you because good things happen in the process, but if you just want it now, let me know.
