So ill be leaving community college sometime in the near(er) future and im not really sure what schools i should be looking at. I took a tour at the Art Institute school in orange county (and i know there is one in LA county) but from what i hear theyre not exactly the best choice, the more and more i hear about them the less and less i want to go. My art professors say its pretty much not the school that matters, but the teachers. I want to learn traditional art that i can apply towards concept art (really traditional illustration is good knowledge for any art field it seems) and 3d modeling, texturing, animation, and composition. Anyone attend a southern california school or know of any that have a solid art program? Id like to go to a specialized school but im not completely ruling out a cal state. I know ive posted about similar questions/concerns but i really want to narrow things down so i dont end up wasting money/applying for loans for a school that doesnt have a solid art/illustration/animation program.
