Like so many others I'm planning on starting a little ebay business. I'm need to select a company name, and related domain name.

I am considering some name with the word 'auction' in it.

For example purposes:

Mike Smith's Auctions

So I file a DBA, get a Business Checking, get a Reseller License and now want to buy products from wholesalers.

BUT... my question is ...Does the word 'Auction' in my company name hinder my ability to buy product from wholesalers? Do some wholesalers dislike working with retailers that sell products exclusively online and/or with auctions?

Not to answer my own question...but it seems to me unless manufacture or wholesaler directly forbids a certain product from being sold online, then I don't necessarily have to tell then exactly how and where I plan to sell. But if my company’s name says 'Auction' it's kind of a dead giveaway.

I would really like to have a domain name and company name with 'Auction' in it, but not if it's going to hinder my business in any way.
