I had posted something similar before the first site was consumed by the net!

J.C. Leyendecker was the once teacher and friend of Norman Rockwell. Its also a bit humorous to know Rockwell once referred to him as "the Great J.C. Leyendecker!" I myself love Leyendecker and it saddens me to know that there are little to no books avaliable of his! I think you will find he has an extremely refreshing approach to his shaping that may seem very contemporary when compared to many present day artists.
