My problem is that I can't save any brushes. Here's a screen cap of my brushes menu:

I am an admitted dunderhead, so forgive if this has been asked before. I did in fact do an automated search, but didn't find anything.

i think when u have all the settings for ur brush u go into new brush ...

well, I just tried it and I can click 'save brushes' whenever I want.
