Concrete Games is a new game development studio located in Carlsbad, CA and owned by THQ Inc., one of the top worldwide video game publishers. We are focusing on next-generation console technology and development and are looking for good people to grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Work with development team on visual development of characters, locations, weapons/ props, game atmosphere, etc.
• Help develop art reference guides and a cohesive art style for all aspects of the game through concept images.
• Work on promotional and prototype material as the studio needs.


Preferred Skills

• Strong traditional artistic skills with a good grasp of anatomy, architecture, technical, graphic design and color theory, plus the ability to adapt to different styles.
• Have worked as a concept artist on a shipped AAA game or movie.
• Keen eye on detail and realism.
• Storyboarding experience a plus.
• Basic understanding of constraints of 3D within a real time environment.
• Good communication and written skills
• Arts degree
