NCSoft is seeking a Senior Concept Artist to join its seasoned team of industry professionals led by key contributors of award winning massively multiplayer games.
The artist will need to be able to produce conceptually innovative, accurate, to-scale drawings from multiple views or full perspective of characters, creatures, architecture, objects, or environment concepts based on Art Director and Designers descriptions, which will then be used as reference by the 3D modelers.
Requirements:
- highly creative, passionate, driven concept artist
- candidate will develop game art concepts under direct supervision of Art Director.
- must be able to rapidly illustrate concepts based on verbal and written directives.
- must have a firm grasp of the human form.
- outstanding traditional illustration skills in multiple mediums, including a firm grasp of color theory
- experienced in a broad variety of styles and genres
- must be able to produce large quantities of high caliber illustrations in a variety of formats, including:
- prototype level thumbnails, key-frame style story boards, finished color illustrations, and publish quality logo/ID work.
- Minimum 3 years Game Industry experience required and/or minimum 2 shipped titles
- Online gaming experience a plus.
- ability to adhere to established creative direction is a must
- ability to cooperate on a team level a must.
