Bidding is now all run through Doubleclick and Mediaplex sites...or so it would appear. Because of the obvious issue that sometime in the near future this information will and method of user tracking WILL be used to control, permit or prohibit one form accessing eBay's "partner" sites. So, I have these sites blocked at my router before the data even returns to my computer...

Anyway, with both Doubleclick and Mediaplex blocked it can take up to 3 minutes for a bid to be sent to eBay...about 1 minute for the initial bid screen then up to two minutes for the confirm bid page to be sent...

Now when I disable domain & URL blocking on the router these processes are almost instantaneous...so the data MUST be flowing through those sites at some point in the process. On no other site does this delay occur when making a purchase as other sites are not so "Dim Whittman'd" as to interfere with shoppers actually SPENDING MONEY.

It leads one to wonder how many sellers are losing additional bids as a result of this issue....and of course eBay will never admit to such an issue.

And folks it is only gonna become worse...when was the last time eBay blathered on about a "free worldwide market place"...they do not because eBay is no longer such a place...and has not been since they became "Dim Whittman'd" and the shareholders know it because eBay stock is almost worthless these days...
