I just came over here to quickly check what people thought about Yahoo's announcement this week that their auctions are now totally free to sellers. I'm surprised I don't see any mention of it. I probably missed it.

Anyway, thought everyone who is so sick of ebay fees would find that interesting. Of course there's hardly anything there now. But, I wonder if this might finally mean competition to ebay.

Yahoo has a bulk loader and it knows how to deal with traffic. Looks like they are using advertising to sponser the auctions. The auctions will be the content. They have a buy it now type of feature, too.

I'll be interested to know your experience, if you try it out. I will probably test the waters a little. I don't want to waste time, even if the place is free. But with a bulk loader, it might not mean too much time investment.
