I'm new on this site. I just thought I'd pass along some information that I received this morning from my neighborhood bank. As of this morning, they are no longer cashing money orders. They will only deposit them and there is a 10 day waiting period on money orders. I guess there was a person yesterday at a different branch that unknowingly cashed 7 fraudlent money orders. The teller told me that most banks would follow suit in this new practice.
