I am new member to this site. Could anyone offer advice on this auction problem?

I have been auction trading via ebay for about three months. It has been a very successful start. However, yesterday an item appeared on my list of Objects for Sale which is not mine. Clearly someone had hacked my account.

After removing the item from sale, I immediately contacted ebay and told them of the use of my account by a third party. I also changed my password immediately.

Today ebay have frozen my account, which means I cannot access it, and have annulled all ongoing lots - of considerable bidding value.

Now they are investigating.

Has anyone experienced this or a similar thing? Did I react in the right way? How can I restore confidence in my account among regular bidders if and when I get my account back? Am I in danger of losing my 100% feedback?

I feel very concerned about this as I can not get anyone in person from ebay to talk to. I feel helpless.

Any advice much appreciated!
