Okay guys, we all know that many pre-workout supps are supposed to be taken about 45-30 minutes pre-workout, on "an empty stomach". My question is - what exactly constitutes an empty stomach? How do you guys take your pre-workout supps? Gnerally, there are three ways I have seen it done:

1.)Eat a large meal about 2h30m prior to workout, then take the supp 30 minutes pre, with nothing after.

2.)Eat a meal about 1h30m prior to workout, then take the supp 1 hour later, 30 minutes pre. with nothing after

3.)Basically number 1, but after taking the supps and waiting 15 or so minutes, you eat (or drink) a small pre-workout meal (Whey and Milk for me).

What do you guys do? I am really interested what works the best for different people. Recently I have been doing #2, but I think I might switch to #3. If I eat (Whey and Milk most likely) after taking the supps (15 mintues), will it diminish the effects, or will it not cause any difference due to the fact that the supp has already been absorbed on an empty stomach?
