Dear sirs:

The wishlist has the potential to drive sales through its usefulness. Netflix is as popular as it is in part because of its movie queue. Not only does the queue function by allowing the customer to communicate to the company which movie should be shipped next, it also functions by letting the customer keep a master list of all the movies that he/she wants to see. Half.com's wishlist could function the same way, if it weren't so clunky and featureless. I would love to have a master list of all the books I would like to have that I could categorize or just glance over. The benefit to half.com is that I am more likely to buy the items through your service.

Here are some suggestions for making the wishlist more useful:

1. "Flatten out" the items so more can fit in the same space. Instead of a block of text for the title, author, etc., you just need one line with the most important information.
2. Allow more items on each page than just 20, or maybe even provide custom paging.
3. Provide a way to rank or prioritize items. I have, say, 5 books that I'd really like to get soon, and another 100 that I might want to get later. Maybe the items could be categorized as "Must Have Now," "Will Get Soon," "Just So I Won't Forget It Exists," "Only If It's Cheap," etc.

These are just some ideas that I wanted to share. I love the half.com experience with regards to buying and selling used books, and I think improvements to the wishlist would make the service 10 times better.
