I think there finally will be a company that will challenge Ebay. I dont know if they will ever be able to dethrone Ebay but I think over time Ebay will lose some business to Overstock.None or these fly by night free listing sites will do it. Amazon or Yahoo havent done it but I believe overstock has the potential to become a great auction site.
They already have the traffic, their name is synonymous for great deals, and they have already been advertising on tv and will be rolling out a ten million dollars for tv advertising before Christmas. I like the fact that they seem to be very seller friendly. I have listed a few items there, I am not expecting anything because they only just launched on 9/24/, but I see tremendous growth in the future. What do you guys think? I am excited to see well known and respected company in the auction game. I know they probably wont be able to compete with Ebay but it will be nice to have a viable choices as a seller.
