Dear friends,

I'm a newbie in online auction and I've just loose a bid in Ebay. I've learned something about snipping and proxy bidding and want to ask a question about this - actually, I want to build a business in online auction and so my main role will be seller, but since I'm a newbie, I need to learn the "buyers ways", so that I could know buyers' experiences.

Now, I wonder if it is possible to beat the speed of Ebay proxy bidding using manual snipping - for example, if we bid in the last 10 seconds before an auction end? Or is it impossible to beat the machine? Is there any real world story about snipper who is able to beat Ebay proxy speed manually - I mean they outbid the proxy bid not because their bid is higher then their rival's maximum proxy bid but because they're faster then the automatic proxy bid in the last seconds of the auction?
