So for those of you thinking to themselves, "bayou bengal, wtf is this guy talking about???", a nickname for LSU is the bayou bengals. Short history lessson aside lets get down to business. For the past seven or so weeks, I have been on my custom Push/Pull routine. And so far i have achieved good results for me. I am starting this journal because i have received a few PM's as to what my routine is and how it is that i am progressing. I always found it useful to look at the workout journals and see what kind of programs either work or dont work for different people. This is my own personal contribution.
My workout is as follows Push/off/Pull/off/Push/off......etc. So in essence i workout every other day. Now here is the routine.
Push Bench 3x5 Seated Calf Raise 2x8 Standing MP 3x5 Leg Press 3x5 Incline Bench 2x6 Weighted Dips 3x8
Pull Deads 1x5...after proper warmups Leg Extensions 2x8 Pendlay Rows 3x5 Leg Curls 2x8 Close Grip/Hammer Chins 2x6 Wide Grip Pullups 2x6 Shrugs 2x6 Weighted Hypers 3x10
So this is the program. So far i have gotten awesome results where my lifts have gone up tremendously over the past seven weeks. I will update my journal every day i workout and each week will update my new weight.
My immediate goals are these. 1) Get to at least 185lbs by end of summer 2) Get Bench to 3x5@245 by end of summer 3) Get Deadlift to 1x5@ 350 by end of summer
Long term goal would be to increase my weight to around 195 and keep my bodyfat levels to 10 percent or below, which is what i am at right now.
