Posted at August 27, 2013, 11:51 pm: My current stats are in my sig as is my stack. I also use Xtend though I have not listed it since I only use it as flavoring for my drinks throughout the day. Some days I will use minimum of 1.5 servings while others I will use 4; it just varies as such I don't count it in my intake. My WO cocktail is a custom blend of WPI and BCAA from True Protein per the Scivation scheme I have the book and do recommend springing the $4 to get it... at that price you're simply wrong not to have it. It's such a good read About me I am 6 feet, 1.5 ninches tall and started at 139 pounds... in other words big time ecto. After 1 year of bulking I maxed out at 185 lbs. I gained 46 pounds and my bodyfat only went up a little. I still fit into the same size 32 pants I've owned for years My arms went from 11.5 inches to 14 and my calves from 13 to 15.5... everything else also grew just as much. I'm not a huge guy, but am not aiming for the Ronnie Coleman look, but rather the Blade Trinity Ryan Reynolds or Christian Bale from American Psycho look. I'm close enough now that I decided a cut is in order. Once the cut is done I'll taker my time and fix up any remaining weak points I've been on Chuck's Show Time Cut Diet for about 2 weeks now and have the following observations and experiences #1. The shift from a bulk with tons of strachy carbs to no strachy carbs (save for refeed days) is rough #2. After about 10 days I got used to it and my energy level though not higher than it used to be is by far more stable. I imagine this is to the insulin control #3. Eating that many veggies is a b!tch for a few days, but quickly becomkes second nature #4. The diet is flexible though it might not seem so at first. For example I suspect that Chuck recommends almonds as a fat source b/c they are filling and help people not want to cheat. I have never been a big eater and for me eating more volume is hard to do. So every other meal I skip the almonds and take a TB of flax or olive oil to get the fats. Makes life easy #5. Cheating is easy to avoid; here are my tricks A. My custom whey blends from True Protein are double sweetened and thus are QUITE sweet. They are still easy to drink, but leave me not wanting more sweet since they are so potent B. I eat fresh fruit in moderation instead of green veggies with 1 meal a day, but not the one before bed. It might be an apple or a handful of cherries. I know Chuck frowns upon this in a hardcore diet, but for me it helps keep me in line. Plus I'm an ecto and can get away with it #6. I started my cut a couple of weeks before I switched to the Show Time Cut Diet and was already at a scale weight of 180. 2 weeks later I am aty ascale weight of 179.5-180.5, thus my weight has not changed. Now that I found my mantenience point, I will add LI cardio per their plan #7. I am doing a 4 day split (I do a push day and a pull day) and my own routines since they look a good deal like those in the book already #8. The refeed rocks! The first one I'd never loved oatmeal so much in my life. It's a treat to have it. Now that I did my third one, I find that I enjoy it, but not like the first few times. I think this is good since my body has gotten used to the new routine #9. My measurements on my arms and legs are the same (they had no fat in the first place) despite a month of cutting #10. My pants are a little easier to fit on than they were 2 weeks ago. I store 99% of my visible fat around the stomach and lower back, thus I consider this a very good sign #11. My lift have yet to go up, but the have yet to go down. Consider the carb depleted state, I think this is amazing Like I said above, I will be adding cardio this week and am interested in seeing what the results are... I will share said results I will add pictures of before, post bulk and post cut when I am DONE with the cut. I won't lie, I have the classic ecto issue of hating even an ounce of fat I will update this from time to time with observations and new info as it comes along...
