Hi guys, i've been wondering if we should bend our knees slightly when doing weights standing up, for example, excercises such as up-right rows, barbell curls, bent-over rows, standing military presses.

The reason im wondering is because a friend told me that if i dont bend knees, i could seriously damage my lower back or something.
