I read the article posted about the writer meeting the seller with the highest feedback on eBay and was quite excited because I don't follow those sorts of things much and had never heard of them. I thought to myself, let me take a look a their auctions and learn a few things about how to be a great auction dealer.

So, I browsed there auctions and noted immediately that they boast a feedback rating over well over 200k. But what caught my eye next was their rating for less than 99% positive feedback which I find both appalling and depressing. Appalling because to me these are not good sellers at all if there feedback is that bad. In my opinion, if 1% of this seller's feedback is negative probably 5-10% of their customers are not happy since I believe most unhappy customers do not leave any feedback at all and this greatly skews the numbers. It is depressing as well because it tells me to succeed on eBay you probably have to be be lousy seller who has many unhappy customers and that eBay in effect condones this type of customer service.
