So you think you had a bad day at the office? Imagine coming home and finding your pride and joy, a $48,000 Lotus Esprit Turbo has been sold by your soon to be x wife who did not like you flirting with another woman at work. What is worse she sold it for the modest sum of .91 cents.

Could this happen? Yes. I know for a fact that in the past things like this have taken place when couples are going through a divorce. Here is the problem with THIS transaction though. First of all the original owner of the car is a talk radio show host. This would certainly give him a couple weeks of banter for his radio show and I strongly suspect it will do wonders for his ratings as well. This is especially true since he is now going on a bunch of talk shows and getting a LOT of media attention. Additionally at the time of this writing the auction has had 314,293 viewers.

Next, look at the start and end time of this auction. It started and ended within 5 minutes and 3 seconds. Ebay search engines are NOT that fast. It would have taken an hour or two just to show up online. The user/buyer has no feedback at all and even though they have been an ebay user for a half year I suspect they were NOT looking for a specific car on ebay at midnight (assuming ebay servers were that fast) when most people are asleep.

That leaves one of two choices. Choice 1 is she is in cahoots with hubby who will be driving his car after everyone has forgotten about this "news" story. Option two she called a friend and had them buy it. Either way, I don't think this was a "legit" deal. Can it happen? Yes. Did it happen here? I strongly doubt it.
